Waifu Material usually refers to a Japanese subcultural phenomenon involving fictional characters. The concept is often associated with otaku culture and the fandom around anime, manga, and video games. The term waifu is used to describe characteristics that individuals desire in their ideal girlfriend or partner. In English speaking countries, you may also encounter the name catgirls. Waifu comes from the English term wife.

People choose their waifu characters based on various characteristics such as appearance, personality, interests or abilities. Sometimes their story role or relationship with the main character is also an important factor.

Traits can vary according to each individual’s preferences. Here are the individual characteristics:

1. Appearance: Characters often have aesthetically pleasing bodies, from handsome faces and eyes to attractive body proportions. This can range from realistic to fantastical and supernatural styles.
2. Personality: Many waifu characters have an appealing personality, which can include various qualities such as kindness, intelligence, a sense of humor, courage, loyalty, or sometimes a certain vulnerability.
3. Interests and abilities: characters often have interesting interests, abilities or skills that make them attractive and fascinating. These may include various activities such as martial arts, culinary arts, playing a musical instrument, sports, or academic abilities.
4. Loyalty and Support: “Waifu material” characters are often known for their loyalty and support for their partner. They tend to be loyal and willing to sacrifice for their chosen one.
